Your caravan levels of cover

RIAS offers a wide range of caravan insurance options designed to fulfil a number of different roles – whether you want a permanent residence or a mobile holiday home.

Using our extensive experience and knowledge of the sector, we provide three levels of caravan insurance cover with a host of optional extras to choose from. These include:

Touring caravan insurance:  In cases where your caravan is regularly on the move, touring caravan insurance has been designed to cover you for continental touring. This package also comes with a range of additional options such as alternative accommodation in cases when your caravan is lost, damaged or stolen; personal accident benefits; and a selection of optional extras.

Among the optional extras available are:

  • Awning replacements as new in the event that it is damaged beyond repair within seven years of the date of purchase

  • A protected no-claims bonus; extended cover for touring caravans permanently stored in Europe

  • The chance to increase your policy excess from £50 to £100

Static caravan insurance: In cases where your caravan is stored at a dedicated site, but is not your primary residence, static caravan insurance is likely to be your best option. It will cover you for incidents such as replacement locks and doors, and cover for freezer contents up to £250.

There are optional extras available with this insurance policy too. This includes loss or damage to contents or personal effects while contained within the caravan.

Park home insurance: In cases where your caravan is also your permanent home, this caravan insurance policy comes with a range of features including: contents and personal property cover, fixtures and fittings and structural damage cover.

For an additional premium, you can also enjoy a host of optional extras including: money and credit cover against theft or accidental loss of current legal tender cheques, money orders, debit and credit cards and travellers’ cheques. Another option is personal possessions and valuables cover designed to protect property such as artwork, computers, jewellery and more against loss or damage anywhere in the world.

Terms and conditions apply. Full details can be found in the policy documentation.
