Q. What age do I have to be to take out a Simply Cash Plan?

A. You can apply to join if you are aged between 18 and 75  years old and a permanent UK resident.

Q. When can I claim?

A. You can claim immediately after your policy starts. Simply use the claim form you will get in your welcome pack or request another form by calling us on 0800 980 7899.

Q. When do my annual benefits start and end?

A. Your annual benefits commence from your policy start date and begin again on the same day every year. Please refer to the Summary of Cover you will get in your welcome pack to find your claiming year details.

Q. What is the duration of my cover?

A. The cover under your plan is monthly and runs from month to month until it is cancelled or otherwise comes to an end.

Q. Are existing conditions covered?

A. The great thing about the Simply Cash Plan from Simplyhealth is that you can start claiming straight away after your policy starts, even if you already have a problem that needs treatment when you join. However, you cannot claim for hospital cover if you have received, or are awaiting treatment as a hospital in-patient or day-case prior to joining.

Q. Does cover stop when I reach a certain age?

A. No, cover doesn’t cease when you reach a certain age. You can keep your policy for as long as you wish, however, you cannot increase your cover after your 75th birthday. There are some circumstances where cover will end. Please refer to section 7 of your policy document for full details.

Q. How are my benefits paid?

A. To make life easier for you, Simplyhealth provides a service which pays your benefits directly into your bank account via direct credit, sending you confirmation in the post.

A. Simplyhealth normally settle claims within a few days.

Q. What do I do if I have changed my mind?

A. You have 14 days from receipt of your welcome pack in which to change your mind and receive a full refund from Simplyhealth, provided no claims have been made. Simply call Customer Services on 0800 980 7899. After this period standard cancellation rights apply – please refer to the terms and conditions for full details.

Q. How do I make a complaint?

A. At Simplyhealth we aim to provide you with the very highest levels of customer service and care at all times. In order to maintain this service standard, we encourage feedback from our customers and have put in place a procedure that you can use to raise any concern or complaint that you may have. In the first instance you should write to: Customer Services, Simplyhealth, Hambleden House, Andover, Hampshire SP10 1LQ or contact Customer Services direct on 0800 980 7899. If you are unhappy with the response you receive then we will refer your complaint to the Simplyhealth Group Quality Assurance team for a final decision. Should you remain dissatisfied with our final response you have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.  Please refer to the terms and conditions for full details.
