All the information you need in the event of a claim will be sent with your policy. Should you need to make a claim before receiving your policy, please contact us on 0845 650 1333 or click here for more info.

Yes, if you wish to pay by Direct Debit, there is a small administration fee of £1 per month for contents cover and £1 per month for buildings cover.

Any alterations or additions to your policy can be made simply by calling one of our Customer Service Advisors on 0845 650 1333. The majority of alterations can be effected while you are on the line. Our advisors can also offer you a full range of policy enhancement products.

If you are not satisfied with your RIAS policy, you have 14 days from receipt of your policy documents to cancel it. To cancel, please call 0845 650 1333. You can still cancel your policy after this 14-day period, full details can be found in your policy booklet (which you receive after you take out the policy).

Yes, we’ll even pay you up to £25 if your current insurer charges you to switch to RIAS.

Yes, if you take out our ‘Personal Belongings Away From Home‘ option you and/or your family‘s personal belongings are covered for £5,000 in total, £1,500 for a single article. Money (up to £300) and credit cards (up to £500) are also covered.  This option covers against loss in the European area, or anywhere else in the world for less than 60 days in any period of insurance.

Yes, under the standard policy, it is covered for personal use and protects against theft and accidental damage whilst in the home. If it is a portable PC that is not being used for business and you need cover outside of the home you will need 'Personal Belongings Away From Home'. If the value is greater than £1,500 please call us for a quote on 0800 052 5051.

Yes, if you have not claimed within 3 years.

Yes, the policy is 'new for old’; therefore all items (except clothing and household linen more than three years old) will be replaced with the new equivalent without any deduction for 'wear and tear'.

Yes, we need to be made aware of any structural changes to or near the property before the work commences.

Yes, please contact us before leaving your property if it will be unoccupied for 60 days or longer.

Yes, you will lose your no claim discount.

For wedding gifts, the maximum claim limit under our contents policy is automatically increased by 10% for one month before and one month after your wedding day or the wedding day of any permanent member of your household. To add extra reassurance over the month of December, the maximum claim limit of our contents policy is also increased by 10% to cover gifts and extra food and drink that you will purchase.

If the value of any item is greater than £1,500, please contact our Customer Service Team on 0845 650 1333 and they will arrange the appropriate cover.

Contents can be increased from £50,000 up to a maximum £100,000 with certain security measures. This additional cover is subject to an additional premium and currently only one of our panel of insurers will provide this additional cover.
