Founded in 1992, RIAS has gone on to become one of the largest providers of general insurance for the over 50s in the UK, with nearly a million customers. Part of Fortis (UK) Limited, RIAS is authorised and regulated by the FSA, and is also a member of the Direct Marketing Association.

All of our call centres are located in the UK and Northern Ireland, and our offices can be found in Bournemouth and Belfast.

The RIAS head office is based in Bournemouth, Dorset, and we are the fastest growing employer on the South Coast. Our Belfast office in Northern Ireland is also enjoying continued growth: we have 220 employees and counting in our outbound dialling centre.

History

RIAS specialises in providing high quality, low cost insurance for the Over 50s. Since our launch in 1992, we have become one of the fastest growing insurance intermediaries. Dedicating ourselves to the Over 50s market means our customers enjoy the benefits of service and products tailored to their specific needs, the best advice and great value for money.

We are now one of the largest providers of general insurance to the Over 50s in the UK, and nearly a million people have chosen us for their home, car and travel insurance. We are a healthy, profitable and growing company with more than 1,100 employees.

RIAS is part of Fortis (UK) Limited, the 2007 British Insurance Awards’ ‘General Insurer of the Year’. We are fully regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

We work as an insurance intermediary between you and our selected insurers. We provide you with everything you need to make a decision on the insurance that’s best for you.
