Job Purpose:

To identify, through structured process analysis and performance measurement, areas of the business in which to define, initiate and champion business process improvement to deliver efficiencies, enhanced effectiveness, improved customer experience and new products and service.

Accountabilities:
  • Working for the Head of Business Transformation, work in many areas of the business to identify, assist the delivery of, and ultimately measure improvements in business efficiency through:
  • Analysis and definition of existing operating model (processes, products, customer experience, organisation and technology, and all measures of performance across all these dimensions)
  • Analysis and definition of the optimal target operating model (processes, products, customer experience, organisation and technology, and all measures of performance and benefit across all these dimensions)
  • Define both tactical and strategic transition plans to enable the successful implementation of business transformation that delivers tangible, measurable, business benefit aligned to the target operating model
  • Develop new business processes for new products and/or business initiatives including the integration with 3rd party providers’ systems and processes.
  • Assist in the development of a strategy for continuous business process improvement in RIAS to deliver efficient business processes and on going reductions in operational overheads consistent with business objectives
  • Assist in the definition of the RIAS business systems strategy and architecture, through definition of the data, systems and technology required to deliver the optimal RIAS target operating model:
Essential Competencies:
  • Experience of working in as a business analysis role
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of Business Process Engineering or Business Process
  • Management, and Business Analysis.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energy and pace – can do attitude with the ability to enter new environments with confidence and ease
  • Ability to Influence to senior management level
  • Attention to detail
Desirable Competencies:
  • Experience of development of Operating Models and Target Operating Models, with particular emphasis on the measurement of performance of the as-is model and the target model
  • Experience of working in a Personal Insurance company, a regulated environment and/or a sales environment with inbound and outbound sales functions
  • Practical experience of Project and Programme management methods
  • Detailed knowledge of policy administration systems
  • Good supplier liaison skills
  • Excellent peer to peer management skills
