Whether you want to change your address, add a policyholder or add extra cover, you can easily make changes to your insurance policy.

How do I make changes to my policy?

You can make changes to your policy from the minute you're on board with us. Just give us a call and you can update your personal details, change your address or vehicle and add policy extras. Just so you know, you can't make changes online if we've already invited you to renew your policy. You'll need to contact us on 0345 234 0119.

Before you get in touch

Please make sure you have at least three of the following to hand when you're making amendments to your policy on the phone:

  • policy number
  • first line of your address and you post code
  • your payment method – direct debit, debit card, credit card etc
  • If you're calling us about your home insurance, the number of bedrooms in your home
  • If you're calling us about your car insurance, your car registration details

If you amend your policy, we’ll confirm your changes and send you your new documentation by post.

Just so you know, there may be a £25 administration fee for car policy amendments and a £15 administration fee for home policy amendments. For full details, please read your policy booklet.

Cancelling your new policy

Unfortunately, you can't cancel your policy online. Please get in touch with us directly.

Cancelling your new policy within 14 days

If you've taken out a new policy with us, you can cancel it within 14 days of the policy start date, or within 14 days of receiving your policy – whichever is later. To cancel your policy, call us on 0345 650 0345 or get in touch with our customer service team at:

Your cancellation can either take effect immediately or from a future date, but it can’t be backdated. If it hasn’t started yet, we'll refund any pre-paid premiums.

If it's already started and you haven't made a claim, we'll refund any premiums already paid minus a charge for the period you've been insured for and an administration charge of £15.

Cancelling your policy after 14 days

If you want to cancel your policy and it's been in effect for over 14 days, it’s important to contact us on 0345 650 0345.

You can cancel your policy immediately, or for a later date, but you can’t backdate it. You'll need to give us a call to cancel your policy, it is not enough simply for you to cancel your direct debit instruction as this does not have the effect of ending your policy. If you haven't made any claims during the current period of insurance, we'll refund a percentage of your premium. This is in proportion to the period of insurance left unused, minus a cancellation fee, and is on behalf of your insurer.

We – or anyone we authorise – can cancel your policy for any reason by sending you seven days written notice by recorded delivery to the address we hold for you. If your policy is cancelled, it doesn't affect any rights or claims you may have before it's cancelled.

How do I register?

Step 1

Click the blue Register button. If you already have an account please click Log in.

 

Step 2

You'll then need to fill in our registration form. Have your policy number or web reference to hand, which you'll find at the top of your welcome email. Just so you know, this is case and format sensitive. Once you've entered all your details, click 'Create An Account'.

Step 3

When you've finished, you’ll see a message thanking you for registering. We'll send you an email to activate your new account shortly afterwards. Please check your spam folder in case it's not gone straight to your inbox. To complete your registration, just click the link in the email and go to the login page below. 

Once you've successfully signed in, you'll be able to take advantage of all sorts of online services, including viewing your policy documents, uploading your No Claims Discount documents, and making changes to or renewing your policy.
