What is Personal Belongings cover?
Personal Belongings cover is optional and, for an additional premium, protects items you regularly take away from your home against theft, loss or damage.
- Maximum limit of up to £20,000
- Maximum individual item limit of £1,500 each.
Examples of what is covered:
- Phones and cameras
- Tablets and laptops
- Contents of your bag
- Jewellery and watches
Examples of what is not covered:
- Items stolen from an unattended car or van, unless they were stored out of sight in a glove box or locked boot
- Contents not designed to be used, carried, or taken outside of the home
- Items worth over £1,500 when taken away from the home.
You can also select our 'Specified items - in and away from the home' optional cover when you purchase your Home Insurance policy. This gives additional peace of mind that your valuables are protected when you take them away from the home.
