Courtesy car cover

Accidents are stressful enough without having to worry about travel arrangements while your car is off the road. As a car insurance provider, it’s our priority to ensure your day-to-day life is not affected by situations beyond your control - and that’s why you would be covered with a free courtesy car as standard, whilst yours is being repaired following an accident.

What type of car will you get?

The standard comprehensive cover provides a small car for your everyday use, until your vehicle is repaired. The courtesy car may not be as large as your own car - but you can pay an additional cost to get a bigger vehicle from the repairer if you wish and if available.

How does the courtesy car cover work?

If your car requires repairs following an accident, get in touch with the team of specialists who will give you the advice you need. UK-based and available around the clock, they’ll be there to guide you in the right direction.

To benefit from the courtesy car cover, you’ll need to use an approved repairer. The team will let you know the nearest repairer to your home, and will provide you with their contact details so you can get the ball rolling.

Once your vehicle is booked in for repairs, you can arrange your courtesy car directly with the repairer. You’ll get your courtesy vehicle the next working day, and can keep it while your car is unroadworthy and being fixed.

While you have the courtesy car, remember that you will be liable for any fines for parking or driving offenses. If your car is declared a write off, you will not be provided with a courtesy vehicle as standard.
