Holiday insurance

What’s your idea of the perfect holiday? Relaxing in the countryside, touring the world or indulging in some adrenalin-pumping sport activities? Whatever you want to get out of your trip abroad, RIAS can help you enjoy peace of mind while you’re away, with great value holiday insurance.

In addition to our standard travel cover, we also offer additional holiday insurance options including golf cover, winter sports cover and personal baggage cover. We also offer ‘end supplier cover’ to protect you in the event of your airline or hotel becoming insolvent before you’ve taken your holiday.

Golf cover

RIAS can extend your standard holiday insurance policy to include golf cover for trips lasting up to 31 days. You’ll be covered for: accidental loss, theft or damage to any golf equipment you own; hiring of replacement equipment and non-refundable pre-paid equipment hire; tuition and green fees which are not used due to circumstances beyond your control. Not only that, if you score a ‘hole in one’ during your trip and obtain a certificate from your golf course to prove it, you’ll get a cash prize of £150 in recognition of your skills!

Winter sports cover

If you’re under 65 and going on a skiing holiday, you can add winter sports cover to your holiday insurance policy for maximum protection. You’ll be covered for financial losses as a result of lost or damaged skis, delayed luggage and any unused lessons or ski passes should unexpected circumstances (such as closure or extreme weather) render them unusable.

Personal baggage cover

If your personal luggage is damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen, we’ll cover you up to a maximum of £1,500 with our personal baggage cover.

End supplier failure insurance

You policy covers you for losses incurred as a result of any pre-booked travel arrangements falling through due to the relevant company becoming insolvent.

These would include:

  • Scheduled airlines;
  • Hotels;
  • Car ferries;
  • Villa and cottage owners;
  • Railway journeys including the Eurostar;
  • Coach journeys;
  • Cruises not bonded;
  • Car hire;
  • Caravan sites, campsites and mobile homes;
  • Camper rental;
  • Safaris;
  • Excursions;
  • Eurotunnel;
  • Theme parks such as Disneyland Paris.
